The Hidden Make-Break Regulating Productivity, Morale and Wellness: i.e. Internal Ergonomics

While Employee Wellness Is a Proven and Important Factor In Their Morale and Productivity, One Missed Fundamental Regulates Their Effectiveness.

Wellness programs are fantastic. So much so, Internal Ergonomics traces it’s roots back to having taken part in revolutionizing employee wellness. But it’s deepest roots were discovered recently to be in something that underlies wellness, a more basic factor, one that is most often overlooked to the detriment of companies’ bottom lines.

Wasted funds spent on workplace wellness programs, ergonomic workspace appliances and furniture, insurance coverage, and even HFA/HSA account funding. Countless billions are spent annually on such programs with a dire cost to employer and employee alike.

By our 50,000+ employee survey over the last several decades, it has been found that the average employee, despite being given ergonomically “correct” chairs, cushions, sit-stand-desks, braces and other appliances, is still complaining of non-chronic but annoying pain and tension.

There is a common thing employees say: “Well, I tend to carry my stress in my shoulders (neck, back, etc.)…” This after filling out a survey they filled out with a dozen or more symptoms.

There is a noticeable morale issue that has little to do with overall wellness. Wellness programs have been proven effective indeed all these years and should be continued. But what underlies the most basic of body function is STRUCTURE which is what keeps the human machine working and in proper order.

A computer, whose components have become detached from the internal framing, will short out or malfunction. A car, which has its engine mismounted, has integral parts which can not work in tandem, but interfere with each other and break down.

The human body is no different. It’s organs, glands, muscles, nerve pathways and body systems work in unison, by natural design, and the structure of the body is designed to hold everything in its position to work properly.

The health and wellness applications of this simple concept are endless, and it simplifies and solves many “unsolvable” problems, including wasteful spending on environmental ergonomic products not designed to address the “Internal Ergonomics or each unique individual.
