Internal Ergonomics Corporate Productivity Reform
Corporations spend billions annually on sit-stand desks, chairs, safety equipment, even exercise programs and policies.
While, on the surface, it seems this should improve and increase productivity and lessen the number of incidents, accidents, injuries and cases of disability, these are on a steady rise.
This is not without good reason. Posture-perfect furniture and appliances are designed based on perfect posture. But, employee posture is far from perfect. This actually indicates that posture-perfect designs can prolong and worsen conditions that cause pain, discomfort or physical stress in any working environment.
The problem with structure is internal (within each employee) not external in the physical working environment. Each employee has an accumulation of physical stress and imbalance that has been mounting and accruing since birth.
